Bravo to all string players at Levine’s String Camp this past week! Eight quartet ensembles and two orchestras performed on Friday afternoon at the NWDC Campus, under several Levine faculty.
I am thrilled to announce that both my husband Juan Gallastegui - Conductor and I have been appointed as conductors of the Prince William Youth Orchestra (Virginia), working together with the top level Youth Symphony. We're looking forward to the new season!

Levine's Adult String Ensemble performed their first concert on Friday evening. Smiling faces all around.
I have been selected as one of the conducting participants for the Conducting Workshops and Concerts 2018 in Kiev, Ukraine this August to work with Maestro Christopher Lyndon Gee, Principal Guest Conductor of the National Symphony Orchestra of Lithuania, Composer, Professor, Adelphi University in New York,USA; several soloists, composers, and coaches; and with The National Presidential Orchestra of Ukraine. I am excited for this opportunity!

I am very much looking forward to attending a music workshop retreat in NYC this March. The European American Musical Alliance (EAMA) retreat is a satellite event from the esteemed Nadia Boulanger Institute in Paris, France. The retreat will be led by their institute directors, Dr. Philip Lasser and Dr. Benjamin C. S. Boyle.
A big Congratulations to violin student Jonathan Tiayon, who was accepted into the DC Youth Orchestra Program's Young Artist Orchestra this Spring 2018! Jonathan is also playing in the Montgomery County Honors Orchestra in Maryland.
