A Week of Wonders

This past week was quite a busy, but exciting week for me. On Tuesday, I had the pleasure of working with the West Allis-West Milwaukee School District (my alma mater) in Milwaukee, WI for their All-City Orchestra Festival, where I had the opportunity to conduct the elementary, intermediate, and high school level ensembles in rehearsal and for the concert.  I ran into some old friends and former teachers on this very special occasion.

On Thursday, I returned to the Mukwonago String Academy (in WI) and gave a master class for some young, upper string players and performed a few short works myself.  That evening I worked again with a wonderful group in the same town, the Grace Notes Orchestra, on some of their spring concert repertoire. What a fantastic opportunity. I look forward to the next time! I returned to Omaha to coach chamber music this weekend at a special event involving Project Trio and OAYO, held at the University of Nebraska-Omaha.  Time to rest and focus on the next upcoming events!
